Local Kansas City Florist – Ranchview Floral and Interiors

Ranchview Floral, a floral shop in Overland Park, well, OK, not just a floral shop, they have bazillion other things too like cards to go with the flowers, cute books, and lots of great gift items.

I wanted to perk up my wife’s spirits ( I don’t remember what I did, but it was definately my fault ). So I stopped by the florist at 95th and Nall. The new shipment had just arrived, so they were incredibly fresh flowers. I asked for some Gerbera daisies (thats Gerbera not Gerber – thank you spell check) and was impressed with how many I got. My lovely wife was too. As I was waiting for the arrangement to be finished, I browsed the store. Tons of interior furnishings. I have been in real estate for almost 16 years and finally discovered where some of the top decorators get their stuff. Honey, if you read this, the desk I want is in the lower level towards the south wall. They had to wipe my drool off it. 馃檪 If you have browsed the local new home subdivisions and builder models you will recognize the quality items here.

There was a nice selection of cards, Hallmark and others, I think. I got one with a turtle saying ‘sorry if I snapped’. And a book of funny mom-style quotations. My lovely wife was happy and thus, so was I.

3885 West 95th Street in Overland Park KS. Its located in the Ranch Mart South shoppin center on the South East side of Nall and Mission Road.

p.s. We left on vacaction 4 days after and the flower were still beatiful so we had Mom-in-law take them home with her. Double duty good hubby points!

KC Magazine formed a partnership with Crescendo Business Services, an independent research firm, to identify the “best in client satisfaction” real estate agents serving the Kansas City area. This past November, Crescendo surveyed by mail and phone 22,000 Kansas City-area residents who had recently purchased homes. An additional 250 surveys were sent to mortgage and title companies, who are often best able to judge a real estate agent’s technical skills and knowledge.

On the surveys, recipients were asked to evaluate only real estate agents whom they knew through personal experience. They were asked to evaluate them based upon nine criteria, including, customer service, integrity, market knowledge, communication, negotiation, closing preparation, finding the right home, marketing of the home and overall satisfaction.

By December, stacks of surveys had arrived and Crescendo began carefully scoring and screening each nominee with the Kansas and Missouri State Real Estate Commission’s database to make certain that licenses were up to date and that no disciplinary actions were pending. Before finalizing the list, nominated agents were reviewed by a blue ribbon panel of local industry experts.

The panel consisted of realty company executives, professional and trade association officers and others directly involved in housing-related businesses. Although panelists’ comments were incorporated into the final score, safeguards were built into the review process to reduce the ability of panel members to influence the composition of the final list on the basis of company affiliation.

This year’s list of “FIVE STAR: Best in Client Satisfaction” real estate agents represents less than 5 percent of actively licensed real estate agents in the Kansas City area. We hope this list serves as a referral network for the 90,000 readers of KC Magazine. Is this list exhaustive? Of course not. There are undoubtedly many other excellent real estate agents that are not on the list this year, but don’t be surprised to see them next year.

    A great place to eat when you are a Hungry Home Hunter –

    Korma Sutra on 119th and Metcalf. They feature an all you can eat buffett for about ten bucks. The menu changes daily although Tandoori chicken is there nearly every day. The staff is friendly, its always busy and the food great. Park in the back of the commercial building. Their website is www.kckormasutra.com They are closed on Tuesdays. The lunch buffett runs from 11am to 2pm.聽 Kids get a balloon. The Chai (sp) is great, the mango drink is wonderful, and the food and nan bread is plentiful.
